1. Are children allowed at the wedding?

To ensure that everyone can relax and enjoy themselves, we kindly request that our wedding be an adults-only occasion. Thank you for your understanding.

2. What is the nearest international airport to La Paz, Bolivia?
The nearest international airport to La Paz, Bolivia, is El Alto International Airport. It is located approximately 13 kilometers (8 miles) southwest of downtown La Paz.


3. What is the dress code?

Formal.

4. How do I inform you about my dietary restrictions?
If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know by messaging either the bride or groom no later than 10 September 2024, so we can accommodate your needs.


5. Where can I stay?

The wedding will take place in the south side of the city (Zona Sur or Macrodistrito Sur), we recommend seeking accommodation at or close to the Met Hotel. Feel free to explore options on the surrounding areas to the hotel and reach out to us if you have any questions.

6. What currency is used in Bolivia and how should I handle payments?

The official currency of Bolivia is the Bolivian Boliviano (BOB). It's recommended to exchange currency at banks or authorized exchange offices for the best rates. Major credit and debit cards are widely accepted in the city, but it's advisable to carry cash for transport and other small purchases to avoid card surcharges.

In light of the current political/social situation regarding the lack of availability of US dollars, we recommend exchanging your preferred currency (Euro/English Pound, Australian/Canadian Dollars) to USD prior to arriving to Bolivia.

7. What language is spoken in Bolivia? Will I need to know any basic phrases?

What language is spoken in Bolivia? Will I need to know any basic phrases? Spanish is the language spoken in Bolivia. English is the second language but basic knowledge of Spanish will be useful. That said, Kieran survived in Bolivia with no Spanish for 2 years.
